The marketing team at Regions Hospital realized they had an excellent opportunity to make better use of thousands of walking billboards – the bags their patients used to transport personal belongings during short hospital stays and on their way home from the hospital. Regions Hospital asked Creative Resources to create a custom bag that patients would find useful long after their hospital stay.
The ideal bag would be lightweight, sturdy, closeable, easy to pack and unpack, and have plenty of space to showcase Regions Hospital’s full array of health services. Creative Resources worked closely with the team at Regions to create a custom bag that met exacting specifications and branding guidelines, and delivered a few extra perks, too. In just 25 days, Creative Resources utilized overseas factory partners to produce a large, laminated zip top bag with easy access outside pockets and an inside pocket that’s perfect for small personal items. Colorful artwork on all 4 sides of the bag means the Regions brand is on display whether patients are coming or going, at the hospital, the grocery store or the lake.
The new bag has had unexpected results: the smiles it elicits from patients. On top of creating a custom bag that met all of Regions’ patient-focused specifications, Creative Resources was able to deliver more features and better brand visibility at 1/2 the price of an off-the-shelf bag produced domestically.
